Playing "party battle" (?) with others against the AI is surprisingly fun. I'm also glad there are so many diverse online modes. Thank Christ the devs chose her haircut design, too. I assume it's also embarrassing for other players when I beat their edgelord choice of team with a wee girl. I main Videl at the moment and it's a lot of fun playing as her since she's designed to be a brawler to make up for her lack of energy blasts. Feels good to immerse myself with this franchise again aside from the occasional figures I order. Pretty sure I'm going to be focusing on smaller games for a while.Īctually stuck to Dragon Ball Fighterz still, so just a bit of a blurb. The next major game I'll move on to will likely be finishing off my Bioshock Infinite run or starting Doom since I imagine either game is more straight forward than the larger, more complex games I've been putting myself through. Likely going to play more Risk of Rain 2 and Spelunky after I finally finish off Divinity after close to 200 hours. I know what to do now, but It's a matter of being able to pull it off before the circumstances overwhelm me. Made one run at it and got destroyed while taking no useful information from the experience to build upon on a next run, so I looked it up and confirmed that there was no way I was going to figure out how to beat that encounter outside of dumb luck. This as I seem to be right at the final confrontation of Divinity 2. It can be pretty brutal, especially since you're greatest enemy in the game is time. That usually doesn't happen until later in the first week of playing games. After a couple hours, the entire feel and atmosphere suddenly clicked and the game began to look better to me visually than it seemed at first. I started a new save file because I kinda messed up the inventory management aspect of my first save, and the game's three main chapters can be played in any order, so I'm going to start out with a different chapter this convinced me to get Risk of Rain 2 last night and I was immediately hooked. I'm not really sure how the game determines which scares to send your way. I can experience something then reload the save and experience a totally different scare. And one really cool thing is that the scares don't really seem to be set along a predetermined path. The PT influence is obvious, but it also borrows from bigger games in the genre like RE7 in terms of inventory management and overall structure. I think the subtle stuff is genuinely more creepy because it will have you second guessing yourself ("Did I really see that? Was that item in a different spot a second ago?" etc.). The game will present scares in both subtle and jumpscare fashion. I had been following Visage for a bit prior to its release, but just haven't had an opportunity to pick it up until recently.īut returning to the game itself: I've played a bit more and this really is the real deal - it's a very scary game. It does not store any personal data. The entire hype surrounding the game and the sequence of events that led to PT never being fully realized have always interested me.
